Peptides studied in neuronal culture, neurotrophic-signaling and central-nervous-system receptor models. Grouped by the signaling systems they are characterized against rather than by any described outcome.

Semax is a synthetic ACTH(4-10) analog extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail, examined in BDNF-expression and neurotrophic-signaling assays. Selank is a synthetic analog of the immunopeptide tuftsin, likewise extended with Pro-Gly-Pro, and is studied in GABAergic and monoamine signaling models. DSIP is a nonapeptide used in neuroendocrine-signaling and circadian gene-expression work. Oxytocin is a cyclic nonapeptide with an intramolecular disulfide bridge, studied for oxytocin-receptor binding and as a reference ligand in receptor-selectivity panels against the related vasopressin receptors.

The Pro-Gly-Pro extension shared by Semax and Selank is a protease-resistance motif, and it is the reason both are used where native sequence stability in culture medium is a limiting factor. Disulfide-containing peptides such as oxytocin require attention to reducing conditions in buffer. Supplied lyophilized, purity verified by RP-HPLC, for in-vitro laboratory research use only.
